Travel Grant Opportunity
 Up to ten Travel Grant Awards, each averaging $2,000, will be awarded  to  faculty and/or student researchers so they may spend up to three  days and two nights at a  								NASA Center communicating with  scientists.
Up to ten Travel Grant Awards, each averaging $2,000, will be awarded  to  faculty and/or student researchers so they may spend up to three  days and two nights at a  								NASA Center communicating with  scientists.
The purpose of this grant is to provide the first step in initiating contact and forging direct partnerships with a NASA Center to develop possible research projects.
Travel Grant awardees will be expected to develop a Research Initiation Grant Proposal. Research must fall within the guidelines of the Office of Chief Technologist or within the NASA Mission Directorates, which includes:
- Aeronautics
- Exploratoin Systems
- Science
- Space Operations
Travel Grant funding is limited to domestic travel only. Awards will be announced by September 6, 2011. All travel must be completed by November 23, 2011.
