EPSCoR Researcher Celebrates Second Anniversary with Book Publication
Dr. Jadwiga Ziolkowska is celebrating her second anniversary as an Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR researcher at the University of Oklahoma by publishing a new book on water resources. Competition for Water Resources - Experiences and Management Approaches in the U.S. and Europe, co-authored by University of Minnesota Professor Jeffrey Peterson, was released Sept. 23.
"This state-of-the-art book provides an overview of water scarcity problems and useful management methods and best practices from the U.S. and Europe," according to the publishers.
Readers can expect a national and regional perspective through the use of country-specific case study examples, according to the Elsevier website, where the book is available for purchase. A comparative analysis of water management between the U.S. and Europe is explored, as are interdisciplinary topics related to water.
Scholars from multiple U.S. and European universities contributed to the book, according to Dr. Ziolkowska.
The book was developed with water managers, water resource economists, and researchers in the food and energy sector in mind. Competition for Water Resources may be purchased at http://store.elsevier.com/product.jsp?isbn=9780128032374.
