EPSCoR Researcher Selected to Observe at U.N. Climate Change Conference
Dr. Renee McPherson, Oklahoma EPSCoR researcher and University of Oklahoma associate professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability, was selected by the Association of American Geographers to participate as an observer at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and 20th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP). She attended the second week of the twelve-day meeting, which was held Dec. 1-12, 2014, in Lima, Peru.

Delegates from more than 190 nations, along with civil society representatives, met to discuss "next steps" in international climate policy at this important conference. The 21st UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP 21) is scheduled to be held in Paris, France, in 2015.
