SWOSU Receives Grant

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – A Southwestern Oklahoma State University program recently received a $15,000 grant for its weeklong math and science camp for girls.

Tech Trek is a national program that is designed to boost confidence in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This year is the first for the program to expand outside of California, and SWOSU is one of five test sites.

The grant is from the Oklahoma Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. The camp is a partnership with the Weatherford branch of the American Association of University Women.
