Ripley Students Receive Pads to Facilitate Math and Science
Oklahoma EPSCoR recently provided 300 legal pads to Ripley Public Schools to facilitate math and science classes for students.
"As the sixth-grade science teacher, I cannot tell you how valuable these will be in the classroom," said Ripley teacher Liz Thomas.
Valerie Phillips, EPSCoR project administrator, explained that EPSCoR is pleased to provide these basic, valuable supplies to the rural Oklahoma school.
"EPSCoR understands that materials such as these are an important tool for students as they build math and science awareness,” said Phillips. “We also know that schools and parents are often operating under tight budgets that can limit their purchase of these items; we’re happy that the EPSCoR program was able to fill this need for Ripley students,” she said.
