Research Opportunity Award Plus (ROA+) funding provides regional university faculty members from primarily undergraduate institutions in Oklahoma with the opportunity to perform research at one of Oklahoma’s comprehensive research campuses (OU, OSU, TU, SRNF) during the summer months.

The program enhances regional faculty members’ personal research experiences, while also supporting the development of ongoing collaborations with faculty at the comprehensive research campuses.

ROA+ funding facilitates collaborations and enhances research efforts across the state.  The funding also allows the visiting researcher to incorporate their research experience into their classroom curriculum and to present their work at conferences. These collaborations expand and enhance Oklahoma’s research efforts across the state.

Maximum allowable budget of individual awards is $12,500.  Funds may be used for summer salary support of the applicant, costs incurred for implementation of research into classroom teaching, conference fees to present said research, and lab supplies of the sponsoring institution.
