Summer Hydrological Science Internships
** Archived Project **
(This initiative is no longer active in our portfolio.)
Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR is sponsoring a summer program that will allow Langston University undergraduates who are majoring in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) fields to participate in hands-on research internships. Two to four students will be selected annually for the program (2014-2018).
Participants will experience on-the-job, research-based training as summer interns with hydrology training programs in the state. Students will be mentored by United States Hydrological Survey hydrologists in tasks needed to complete hydrological science projects, such as stream gaging and water quality sampling.
The program is a collaboration with the Langston Integrated Network College (LINC) for STEM Disciplines (an HBCU-UP grant).
